In celebration of Winston-Salem’s Centennial Anniversary, Old Salem Museums & Gardens is opening its doors to the community! All attendees will enjoy free admission ($21 value) for the entire day. Begin your visit at the Old Salem Visitor Center (900 Old Salem Road) to receive your tour map and enjoy an orientation video.

In addition to free admission to tour Old Salem’s eleven historic exhibit buildings, visitors will also enjoy the following scheduled activities:

James A. Gray, Jr. Auditorium

Guided Tannenberg organ tours (10am to 1:30pm)

Taven Meadow

Signora Bella Great Italian Equilibrist (10am, 11am, & 1pm) 

Frank L. Horton Museum Center - Heirloom Puppet Theater

The Greenest Green Puppet Show (10:30am, 11:30am, & 1:30pm) - The people of Salem are all abuzz as they wait the arrival of a very important person in town. However the town's blue dyer has a real dilemma fulfilling a request from this mystery guest.

St. Philips Heritage Center

WSSU Jazz Ensemble (11am & 1:30pm)

Digital Exhibition: "Across the Creek"

Salem Square

Hands-on activities including quill pen writing, marbles, pierced paper, bubble-blowing, and other games.
